Prashanth Thyagarajan is an Indian actor. He works majorly in Tamil films apart from working in some Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi films. He was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He is a star kid. He is the son of actor – director Thiagarajan. He is a Computer Graphics and Multimedia student. After his 12th grade, his name was listed in two medical colleges.

He got married to Grahalakshmi, who was the daughter of a Chennai - based industrialist in the year 2005. But, the marriage didn’t work for long. Grahalakshmi filed a complaint against the actor for dowry and harassment. But, the Madras High Court declared their marriage as null because she kept her first marriage hidden before getting married to Prashanth. Prashanth’s debut film was Vaigasi Poranthachu in the year 1990 when he was just 17 years old.

He gave back to back hits. He launched Police, which was a remake of a Hindi film –Khakee, but the film didn’t roll. The same happened with Sakkarai. Films like Petrol, Runway, Taxi Driver, Jockey, Arun Weds Harini and Vithagan were announced but not made.

He then acted in R. K.Selvamani's Pulan Visaranai II which got released in 2015 after a delay of eight years. With Shiva Shanmugam's Thagapansamy, came along appreciations for the actor. In. 2008, he also invested in jewellery that had 12 floors in Chennai. His upcoming release is Saahasam for the year 2013.

He was born on 6th April 1973, in Chennai (Tamil Nadu) to parents Thiagarajan and Shanthi. His father was a renowned actor-director of his time. He also served as a producer and screenplay writer for the Tamil film industry.

His next hit Chembaruthi was remade in Hindi as Aao Pyaar Karen.
He did his first Hindi language film in 1992 which was the remake of his Tamil debut Vaigasi Poranthachu. It was named 'I love you' and was directed by Vara Prasad.

He did the Telugu feature film Latti in 1992, which is dubbed in Hindi as Sundara Kanda. It is also dubbed in Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada as Dawood Ibrahim, Vaaname Ellai, and Soorya Manasam respectively.
He also acted in the Hindi remake of his 1992 film Prema Shikharam, which released in 1994 under the title Anokha Premyudh.

Rahman composed its soundtrack and background score. This movie was a success and got a premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Prashanth rose to stardom by S.Shankar's blockbuster romantic comedy Jeans in 1998, where he played a dual role, alongside Aishwarya RaiBachchan. It was the most expensive film of the Indian cinema at that time. It was dubbed under the same title into Hindi and Telugu languages. The film was a nominee for the Best Foreign Language Film for the Academy Awards in 1998.

He touched another peak of success with  Kannedhirey Thondrinal in 1998. It ran for almost 25 weeks and was the most profitable film of that time.
With the success of Kaadhal Kavithai, the year 1998 recorded a hat-trick of hit films for Prashanth.

He gave a blockbuster Jodi in 1999 with actress Simran. They were dubbed as a hit pair then.
He appeared in debut director Hari's Thamizh which gained a positive response. Later around and after 2005 his career paced down due to his marital problems.

He took a break from the cinema after that and made a comeback in 2011 with the Indian epic historical drama film Ponnar Shankar. The film brought him an average review, followed by Mambattiyan, which his father co-wrote, directed and produced.

Johnny, his upcoming Tamil action drama film directed by Vetriselvan and produced by Thiagarajan is a remake of Johnny Gaddar. It is scheduled to release in 2018. He also owns a 12-floor jewelry store in T Nagar, Chennai which opened in 2008.

Ponnambalam is a Tamil film actor who has appeared in many Tamil films. He started his career as an extra actor and also as a stuntman. Ponnambalam in his early life was a sportsman who was keen in gymnastics and other sports. He was National high jump champion in 1984. He was always virtuous in sports, but he had six sisters to support. He started acting to support his sisters and debut in a cinema as a stuntman. He played the role of villain Kabali in the super hit Walter Vetrivel, which was then his first break. He started being recognized as an established villain in Tamil film industry. He appeared as an extra fighter in various films like Shankar Guru, Puthiya Vaanam, Apoorva Sagodharargal and Michael Madana Kama Rajan. He suffered from various injuries during his tenure as a Stuntman. He always carved the niche of a villain and was pretty good at it, but later he also tried his luck by changing into a hero in the film ‘Idiyudan Kootiya Mazhai’. He also produced, directed, composed music and set the action sequence of the film. He has shown up in more than 1000 films but never appeared in a hero role, which he portrayed for the first time and the film was shot in Malaysia. He did play various supporting roles throughout the 90’s and was a regular face of Tamil films. He also appeared in various Telegu movies like Gharana Mogudu, Allari Priyudu and 1997 hit movie Hitler. He also opted for Malayalam and Kannada movies which made him popular in entire South India. His gymnastics and sporting skills always helped him during his stunt sequences in movies and kept him fit through his career. After that, Ponnambalam joined the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) in 2011, where he started his career in politics. After almost six years, he left AIADMK and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In June 2018, he made a twist on his career and entered the 2nd edition of the Bigg Boss Tamil.
