The still has Nischala sitting behind her, playing the innocent lover. The lead Abhinaya is a famous South Indian Actress. Her Debut movie Nadodigal was a great success, and she never had to look back. Her presence in the movie Mela Thallam added the movies name to a must watch list in the state. Mela Thallam, a youthful entertainer with romance and music to enhance the script, was shot at a very fast pace. While shooting for the film, Nischala was mistaken to be 'R Madhavan', the “3 Idiots” star. The situation was funny, and the shooting was going on at a hill station. However, even after explanations, that he isn't Madhavan, the crowd did not believe them and wanted to take pictures with Nischala. The incident led to hilarious and funny moments during the shoot. Mela Thallam did not release in 2012 due to certain production troubles. The name got changed to Adida Melam and the movie released in March 2016. Nischala had a great experience with the film. He describes Abhinaya, his co-star, as a Hardworking actress. He feels that she focussed more on what the director had to say rather than looking elsewhere.
