K. J. VenkatRamanan is an Indian film editor, working primarily in the Tamil film industry. He kick-started his career as an assistant editor for the 2012 Tamil comedy film, Kalakalappu, working alongside Kollywood's most acclaimed editor N. B. Srikanth. He then made his editorial debut with the thriller/comedy Tamil film, Aadama Jaichomada Click to look into! >> Read More... (2014), which was an instant hit. Adding another feather to his cap, he also edited the first-ever Tamil zombie/action movie Miruthan (2016), which became critically acclaimed worldwide.

Its Telugu dubbed version, titled Yamapasham (2016), was also edited by him. He will also edit its Hindi counterpart, Daring Rakhwala, slated to release in late 2020. Miruthan was nominated for the Narcisse award at the Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival and was the second Tamil film to be screened at the Fantasia International Film Festival. It also screened at the Sitges Film Festival, the Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival, and the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival.

In his next venture, Ramanan was involved in the editing and post-production of the Tamil crime-drama, Panam Pathinonnum Seyum (2017), directed by Jaya Krishnan.
