Dwayne Bravo is a West Indian cricketer, actor, and singer. He is a right-handed batsman and bowler playing for Trinidad and Tobago since 2002. Bravo who is also known as Johnny was born on 7 October 1983. This 33-year-old cricketer belongs to Santa Cruz, Trinidad, and Tobago.

He started his cricketing career in the year 2002. He played with Trinidad and Tobago team against the team of Barbados. A month later, he scored a century. After that, he was selected to play international cricket with the team West Indies. His first tour was against England in the same year. In 2003, he did bowling and took six wickets giving only 11 runs. It was a highlight match for him that brought prominence to his cricketing career.

His ODI debut was against England in 2003-2004. He also did his test debut on the same tour. He took 68 wickets in the entire Test series. His Twenty20 debut was against New Zealand in 2006. His squad number 47. He has played 40 Test matches, and 164 One Day Internationals. Bravo is known for at the death bowling and different length bowling. He has played for his native place team.

In Indian Premier League, he has played for Mumbai Indians and then for Chennai Super Kings. He currently plays for Gujarat Lions. He has also played in the Pakistan Super League for Lahore Qalandars. Along with these, he has played in the teams like Melbourne Renegades (Big Bash League), Chittagong Kings (Bangladesh Premier League), Kent, Essex, etc. He was named the franchise player at Caribbean Premier League inauguration. He was one of the players of West Indies when they won the ICC World Twenty20 in the year 2012 and 2016. He has the best bowling average and strikes rate.

Along with cricket, Bravo is also known for his contribution in acting and singing. He can be seen in various ads held by the sponsors of Gujarat Lions with whom he plays the Indian Premier League as of 2017. He appeared in a Tamil movie called Ula which was released in 2013. He did a cameo in the movie. He has also performed in the popular Hindi reality dance show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa in the year 2016. He was a Wildcard contestant in the show. He has also guest starred in The Kapil Sharma Show in 2016. He has also released a song called Champion in 2016 which has become a West Indies cheering anthem. He has also performed in a college of engineering situated in Mysuru in 2016.
