The film which has a unique script was new to the Tamil film industry. After the hit film, Shakti was not seen in the film industry for four years. He came with yet another brand new script to Kollywood, Naaigal Jaakiradhai. As he had already worked with Sibi Raj in his debut film, he has a good bonding with the actor. The thriller story which was based on a military trained dog got appreciation from all the centres. Naaigal Jaakiradhai, which was the adaptation of Hollywood film Turner & Hooch was dubbed as Police Aur Tiger in Hindi.

It garnered appreciations for Shakti’s scripting skill. After a couple of years of the release of Naaigal Jaakiradhai, Shakti came with a new concept to Indian cinema. The film was screened at the Film Festival held in Mexico. Following the success of Miruthan, he is working in Tik Tik Tik with Jayam Ravi. The film would release in 2017. It is a space thriller film and like his previous films, it is also the first of this genre in India.

Not many have the will to experiment at such an early stage of career; that’s what differentiates him from the other contemporaries.
