Aishwarya R Dhanush,” who is a director in Tamil film industry. Soundarya did her schooling in Ashram Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Chennai. Soundarya had been an aspiring graphic designer and she made her debut as the graphic designer in 1999 with “
Padayappa,” her dad’s movie. She designed the title of the film and similarly in 2001, she got another opportunity to design the title of her daddy’s movie, “Baba.” She debuted as the solo graphic designer in 2005 with the film Anbe Aaruyire. Till 2018 she had worked as the graphic designer in seven films. In 2010, she stepped in as the producer through the film, “
Goa,” directed by
Venkat Prabhu. Soundarya had been longing to direct an animation film. Her dream was to make a 3D Animated film Sultan: The Warrior, with Rajinikanth. She initiated it, but, the film was dropped in the middle. Later, Soundarya planned “Kochadaiiyan.” This is the first motion-capture film in India. She got yet another feather on her cap and yes she is the first woman director, to direct her father in a feature film. In the year 2014, Soundarya received an honor at NDTV Indian of The Year Awards and her film grabbed the attention of the nation and she is honored for Technical Innovation In Film. She made her next film as a director in 2017 with the film, “Velaiilla Pattadhari 2” with her brother-in-law “
Dhanush” as the hero. Soundarya tied the knot with Ashwin Ramkumar, an industrialist in the year 2010. Her marriage was held in grandeur amidst the national celebrities. Soundarya and Ashwin have a son named Ved and he was born in the year 2015. In late 2016, Soundarya admitted to the rumors that she and her husband Ashwin are living separately and have applied for a mutual divorce. In 2017, the couple separated officially with the divorce.
