After that, he worked on one more film and decided to direct and produce a film on his own. Belum Lagi Qiamat was his first independent film in 2000. This film gave him the confidence he was looking for. Later, he established his own production house, known as Janu Talkies Sdn Bhd. He produced and directed several TV commercials, short films, corporate videos, documentaries, etc.
