The actress of the movie Nazriya Nazim had filed a complaint against Sarkunam on the charges of that a body double was used for her scenes and wanted the movie to be shown to her before the release. In 2015 he came up with Chandi Veeran, starring Anandhi and Atharvaa. The movie was produced by Bala. The movie showed some similarities like his first movie Kalavani. In 2014, he founded his own production company named "A Sarkunam Cinemaz." He introduced his brother A. Nandha Kumar as a producer in the film industry.
