In 2014, the release of Zamaanat, a project featuring Bachchan that had been postponed since 1996, was still pending. Along with his brother Shivaram, he co-founded the home banner "Rashi Brothers" and produced several Kannada movies. On January 9, 2013, he passed away in Chennai. He worked on several films, including Naadodikal (1959) and Shreekovil (1962).
