Puthiyavan Rasiah is a Tamil director who made his debut direction with the movie Mann which was based on controversies between two types of Tamil communities. He is basically from Srilanka and completed his studies from the University of Lincolnshire. His second movie is a crime thriller named Yaavum Vasapadum released in the year 2014. His other movie is ‘Otrai Panai Maram‘ which means Single Palm Tree and the film was based on the real story of the Srilankan civil war, and it has won the American Filmatic Arts Award 2018 for the Best Experimental Foreign Feature category.
