Pradeep Krishnamoorthy is an Indian screenwriter and director. He was born and brought up in Tamilnadu, India. As a child, Pradeep highly admired and appreciated the film industry. He did his graduation in Visual Communication from Loyola College in Chennai, Tamilnadu, India.
He entered the Tamil film industry as an assistant to the veteran Tamil film director, Vetrimaaran. Pradeep assisted Vetrimaaran with 2011, Tamil Drama film, titled, "Aadukalam." The film featured Dhanush and
Taapsee Pannu in lead roles.
The motion picture received a positive response from the audiences and the critics and went on to achieve a lot many awards. Working with Vetrimaaran was an experience of a lifetime for Krishnamoorthy. He confessed in an interview that he owes a lot to "Aadukalam," and to the director who gave him an opportunity to gain practical knowledge in the field of directing.
Pradeep Krishnamoorthy made his debut as an independent film director with 2016 Tamil psychological thriller, named, "
Saithan" (translated as Satan). The movie is said to have been an adaptation of "Aah!," a novel by Sujatha Rangarajan.
The motion picture features Arundathi Nair and
Vijay Antony, the well-known Tamil actor in lead roles. The motion picture received a positive review from the viewers and the critics. Pradeep, as a debutant director and screenwriter, was very confident about his first project. The director was intensively enthusiastic and happy about his debut film.
He was particularly excited to work with Tollywood's two most admirable actors. The director later went on to write and direct 2017, Tamil Mystery-Thriller, titled, "
Sathya." The movie was a remodification of the Telugu film, "Kshanam." Sibi Sathyaraj played the lead part in the mystery film.
The movie got positive reviews from the viewers. It was a critically acclaimed picture, and Pradeep Krishnamoorthy's direction was considered to be the highlight of the remake.
