Ameerjan is an Indian movie director. He mainly directed movies from the Tamil film industry. He started his career in the 1980s and received success in the early 1990s. He is mainly known for his work with actors Karthik and Murali. He was born in Tamil Nadu. His passion towards direction brought him in the industry. He not just worked in Tamil industry but also left a mark in the Telugu language movies. He started working under director K. Balachander. He made his directorial debut with Poovilangu, which released in 1984. The movie starred Karthik and Murali. Poovilangu, and was critically acclaimed. He has directed around more than 20 movies in Telugu and Tamil along with actors Karthik and Murali. The trio was very much liked by the audience and was one of the hit pairs in that span of time. He had even directed Rajinikanth in the super hit movie Siva in the year 1989.

The movie was a remake of Hindi movie Khoon Pasina, starring Amitabh Bachchan Amitabh Bachchan was born on October 11, 1942 in A >> Read More... . His work earned him great popularity and name in the industry. He later directed Thulasi in 1987. It was a Tamil romantic drama and was produced by P. S. V. Hariharan. Seetha and Murali were the lead roles in the film. . Later he even directed his television series. In 2006, he was held for the position of secretary of the Directors' Association of Tamil filmmakers. In 2015, he died due to cardiac arrest in Saligramam at the age of 73. He had a son and a daughter. The whole industry was sad due to his death as they had lost a precious gem from their life.
