Abhavanan is a Tamil screenplay writer, director, producer, music composer, lyricist, and dialogue writer. He was born to Pavayee and Arumugam in Kumarapalaiyam. He studied at the MGR Government Film and Television Institute. He is married to Thenmozhi. He has been working in the Tamil film industry since the early 1980s. He is the first person to introduce live recording in sound effects in the Tamil film industry.
