Saluri Koteswar Rao (also known as Koti) is a music composer who works in the South Indian Music Industry. He has composed music for around 475 films in the Telugu, Tamil and Kannada film industry. He is the son of noted music director Saluri Rajeswara Rao. He broke into the South Indian Music Scene in the year 1983. Koti teamed up with Somaraju then, and the duo was regarded as Raj-Koti.
He has won the Filmfare Award for The Best Music Director-Telugu and Nandi Award for Best Music Director for the film Hello Brother. Raj-Koti broke up in 1994 and from then on he has been working solo.
Koti was born in Mylapore, Chennai on May 28, 1958. He has been married to S. Jyothi since 1985. Koti began his career in music as the assistant of music director K. Chakravarthy. After the separation of the Raj-Koti duo, he composed the background score and music for over 350 films.
