Born on September 12th, 1976, in Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh, Tariq Umar Khan is an Indian production designer and art director in Bollywood. He is married to NadiriTariq Khan and is a father of two beautiful daughter Filzah khan (8yrs old) and Hifza khan (4yrs old). Tariq is the son of Late Abdul Sattar Khan, who was working as a bus conductor in Mumbai. Under his elder brother, Haris Umar Khan, a knownArt Director, he got a chance to work in the crown studio with a studio manager. Tariq got inspired by the passion of late Mr. Sameer Chanda, who had the office in the same studio. This incident attracted him to art direction. He worked in the crown studio for twelve years. Later on, in 2005, he worked as a manager for Wasiq Khan, who himself was a struggling production designer.

Without any formal training in art direction and production designing, he made his place in the Hindi film industry. From being a construction designer, he became a well-known face in art director and production designer in Bollywood. In 2007, he landed working with Anurag Kashyap in movies like “ No Smoking” and “Meridian Lines.”His work in the movie “Raanjhana” directed by Anand L. Rai as an art director ended up being a defining moment in his life. He was praised and appreciated for his work in the movie, which gave him confidence and recognition. In Anurag Kashyap films, he became famous for his gritty realism. He has additionally worked in mainstream movies in the Art Department. He worked as a production designer in movies.

Mayil Krishnan is a Tamil Art director, and his contribution to the Tamil (Kollywood) industry is tremendous. He was born in a city called Sholinganallur, India and lived a while there. Then he was brought up in Chennai, India and is also currently living there. He did his schooling from TIRUPATTUR, VELLORE Dst and did his graduation from Government College of Arts and Craft, Chennai. He always liked doing visual style and images for the magazines, movie, product packaging, and newspaper. He got a masters degree in Bachelor of Financial Administration from University of Madras, Chennai. After doing his Masters, he was pretty sure what he had to do with his life and decided to pursue his career as an Art Director. He's been an Art Director in three movies, and they are Parandhu Sella Vaa also known as Come Let's Fly, it's a romantic comedy genre and is a Tamil movie produced and directed by P. Arumaichandran and Dhanapal Padmanabhan. The film released on 9th December 2016 starring Luthfudeen, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Narelle Kheng. Mayil Krishnan did a remarkable job in creating visual effects and images for the movie. He also worked in Aivaraattam Aka Aivaraatam movie released on 13th March 2015 was a serious drama.Mithun Manickam directed it and was his first debut film starring Jaya Prakash, Niranjan, Dushyanth, and Nithya. It received below average rating by the critics. The story revolves around two brothers playing a football match (both on the opposite team) and who's the winner in the end and has a tinge of family drama in it. The other film in which he is the Art Director is Aakkam which released on 18th November 2016. It is a dramatical motion picture, and it received many negative comments from the critics. However, it received appreciation for its Art Directing done by him and music composed by Srikanth Deva. He is determined and hardworking and wants to further enhance his career in Art Directing.
