The guy aged 30+ has made his debut film Dolly Ki Doli with the production house of Arbaaz Khan who has delivered some great blockbusters in the recent past. Abhishek Dogra’s debut film has received some positive reviews from the public and the industry directors which in turn has made him sign a three-year open contract with Arbaaz Khan Production Ltd which is a positive sign for the young and talented director who is looking to make some great movies in the years to come.

Abhishek Dogra who now has a name for himself in the industry had to struggle and survive initially which made him question his decision of coming to Mumbai a couple of times. Belonging to a small town in Uttarakhand Dehradun Abhishek Dogra studied at the Army Public School- Dehradun, he then completed his Bachelor in Mass Communication and Advertising in 2004.

In 2005 he moved to Mumbai and met Yash Chopra Film maker Yash Chopra is recognized as the ‘king >> Read More... ; meeting Mr. Chopra was his ultimate dream. During his meeting he was advised by Mr. Chopra that direction is the safest profession if one is passionate about it. Getting inspired by Mr. Chopra he looked for a job of assistant in films under directors.

In order to get some meaningful work in initial days Abhishek use to connect with various directors via text messages. This finally paid off when he got a chance to perform the role of 3rd assistant in the movie Shadi Se Pehle. Later on in 2007 and 2009 he went on to become chief and first assistant director for the movies Fool N Final and PAA.

In 2010 he was also an associate director in the film- Paathshaala. Gaining some valuable experience from reputed filmmakers of the industry Abhishek decided to write his own script which was inspired by an article he read about a woman in Kerala who duped men into marriage, he went on to make his debut movie Dolly Ki Doli when Arbaaz Khan finally decided to produce the movie starring Sonam Kapoor.

Abhishek Dogra whose effort has been well-appreciated in his first film is working on a couple of more stories to write on for his upcoming movies which will soon hit the box-office in future.
