SV Subbaiah

SV Subbaiah was an actor in the Tamil film industry. He was born in 1920 in Sengottai, Tirunelveli district. He was married and had five daughters and a son. When he was 11 years old, he joined the Senkottai Ananda Sakthivel Paramananda Boys Company. After a few years, he worked for Balashanmukhananda Sabha and Sakthi Nataka Sabha. In 1945, he played in the stage play Kaviyin Kanavu for Sakthi Nataka Sabha, which made him popular.

In 1946, he debuted as an actor on the silver screen with the movie Vijayalakshmi, produced by Pragathi Pictures. In 1947, he worked in Kanjan, directed by Kovai Ayyamuthu and TR Gopu. On 29^th January 1980, he died due to ill health at his farm in Sengundram, where he was doing agriculture in his land.
