Ravin Rao Santheran

Ravin Rao Santheran is an Indian actor who has worked in the Malaysian Tamil film industry. He belongs to Taiping, Malaysia, and is a popular figure amongst the Tamil Malaysians. In the evolving landscape of Malaysian Tamil cinema Ravin Rao has generated a significant buzz and created a legacy among the audience. His career in the industry began when he and his school friends completed our SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia) and started experimenting with cover songs following their passion. Their first filmmaking was the collaboration on a short film titled ‘Gopeng’ which allowed them to explore storytelling and to test their abilities in cinematography, acting, and scriptwriting. After the success of their first film, their next venture was a short film named ‘Not on Our Watch.’ Their skills evolved with each project and the passion for filmmaking grew even more potent.

With immense dedication they created “ Marupakkam Marupakkam is a Tamil show airing on the channel M >> Read More... ,” which was their most ambitious short film. He received offer for his first television appearance in 2017 which was to participate in an opening scene for an episode of the show named ‘Thigil.’ Later he was offered the position of assistant director for Thigil and worked on 11 episodes of the show.
