He completed his graduation in Economics from Namakkal Arignar Anna Arts College. When he first disguised himself as MGR, he got Rs 500 as the reward, and he distributed the amount to the people in need. He was invited to the US, UK, France, Malaysia, and Singapore. He has performed in Chicago Tamil Sangam too. Subramani also directed and acted in the films Uzhaikkum Kaigal and Idhayathil Oruvan.
