Kalidas was a Tamil film and TV actor cum dubbing artist. Kalidas was married to Vasantha and had two children, Vijay and Bhargavi Kalidas. Bhargavi is working in the film industry as a co-director. Kalidas is popular for his majestic voice in Marmadesam. In the 1980s, he lent his voice to many villain actors. He has dubbed his voice for more than 3000 films, including the dubbed movies in Tamil. Kalidas played the role of Kottaisami is Sun TV serial Soolam, featuring “Suvalaxmi” in the lead role.
