started her career in the Malayalam television industry as a child artist. Due to her stellar performances she was offered the role of a sightless young girl called Mali, in the movie “
” in 2006. “Karutha Pakshikal” was directed by the renowned director, Kamal, who helped Malavika win her first State Award for the best child actress. She continued her winning spree with another State Award in 2012 for her role as Rima in a movie. She got her 2nd Kerala State Film Award for Best Child Artist for her role as Reema in, "Oomakkuyil Padumbol".
She wonderfully portrayed the role of a simple girl who was forcefully transferred to a posh school against her wishes. Malavika was born on 23rd June, 1999, and she resides with her family at Thrissur, Kerala. She attributes all her success to her supportive parents, Setu and Suchitra. She has an elder brother, Nikhil. Her grandfather, Hari Das, is her strongest fan as well as critic. Malavika’s roles in devotional serials like, “Devi Mahatmya”, “Sri Krishna Lila”, “
