Child Artist Malavika Turns A Heroine!

Child artist Malavika Nair, who played Lord Muruga in the popular TV serial “Devi Mahatmyam” led by “Praveena,” has been booked doing a heroine in “Dafedar.” Malavika earned fame by her performance as a visually challenged girl in Karutha Pakshikal. Dafedar will be directed by Johnson Estappan. When asked about her promotion as a heroine, the 12th standard student said, "I had no plans to do a film at this point, but the script was impressive that I couldn't say no." Malavika plays a young home nurse in the film. She plays Amala and everyone calls her Amy. She works as a home nurse to Tini Tom, who plays a retired Dafedar. The Dafedar develops a good bonding with her and starts to think her as his daughter. The Dafedar role was initially planned for Kalabhavan Mani and the sudden demise of the actor made Tini Tom to get on the board. Stay tuned for more updates on Mollywood!
