Raghavan

Raghavan is a Malayalam film actor who is now doing TV serials. He was born in Kozhikode and did his schooling in Kozhikode itself. In his schooldays, he was interested in acting and performed numerous dramas. He acted in a number of dramas in Kerala as well as outside of Kerala, such as Coorg, Mangalapuram, etc. Later, he joined the Tagore Drama troop and did his Diploma in Delhi National School of Drama. He started his career as an assistant to the famous director, G. V. Ayer. He directed a Kannada movie called, “Oruka Mahasabha.” His first Malayalam film was “Kayalkaryil” in 1968.

Raghavan not only played roles as the hero but also as the supporting actor. “Ammayenna Sthree,” “C.I.D. Nazir”, “Bhoogolam Thiriyunnu”, “Njaan Piranna Naattil”, “Athyunnathangalil Koodaaram Panithavar”, etc. are some of his famous movies in Malayalam. Even though he played many characters in films, he wasn’t able to secure a strong hero character, and later shifted to supporting roles. As time passed, he started acting in television serials and appeared as the protagonist in one of the serials

In “Minnukettu”, he played the role of a fathe. Raghavan did a fantastic job in the serial

Raghavan acted in numerous serials in different channels like Asianet, Surya, etc. His most famous serials are  Vasundhara Medicals Vasundhara Medicals is a very strong woman oriente >> Read More... (Asianet), Saranam Ayappa (Surya), and Velankani Mathavu (Surya). He also directed two movies in Malayalam- “ Evidence Click to look into! >> Read More... ” in 1988 and “Kilippattu” in 1987.

Furthermore, Raghavan also wrote the screenplay for the movie “Kilipattu.” He is married to Shobha and has two children, Jyotsna, and Jishnu. His son Jishnu is a famous actor in Malayalam industry. Jishnu started his film career in the movie, “ Nammal Malayalam Television entertainer Asianet Released >> Read More... ” directed by famous director, Kamal. Unfortunately Jishnu succumbed to cancer recently.
