Singer Roshini

Born on December 1st, 1986, in Trichy, Tamil Nadu and later raised in Chennai, Roshini is an Indian playback vocalist in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. She is the daughter of Dr. Joseph Kaliyaperumal and Lucy Joseph. She completed her education till 9th standard in her hometown and later on moved to Chennai city. She holds the degree of B.Tech in computer science. Roshini began learning Carnatic music when she was at school. The versatile artist sings Carnatic based western, society, tune, old songs and energetic melodies in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. She had her stage debut at the age of 4, for a cultural event for around 2000 people. Roshini alongside her sister Anita played out the accomplishment of 'singing relentlessly for 37 hours', which listed them under the Guinness Book of World Records.

Roshini got her first break through, Vidyasagar a music director, who was a chief guest in one of her show. Later, she sang her first song “Kannan guruvi” music was by Vidyasagar in Aaha Enna Porutham movie. The film Kuthu was the main accomplishment of Roshini's voice was for which she loaned voice for the tune "Pottu Thakku" featuring Simbu and Ramya Krishnan in the video. This gave a good start for her career, some of her hit films in which she had loaned her voice are Yaaradi Ne Mohini, Thamirabharani, and Pattiyal. Roshini's remarkable numbers in the Tamil film industry are, for the motion picture Pattiyal with actors Padma Piya, Pooja, Arya and Bharath, ahead of the pack characters for the song "Namma Kathula Mazhai Peyuthu".

After this achievement, Roshini again consolidated with Yuvan for the melody "En Janna Vandha Kaatre" having Vishal for the film Theeratha Villaiyattu Pillai and new actors for the lead roles. She sang many songs for Yuvan and turned into a trademark vocalist for Yuvan giving him an effective hit.
