Athira K. Krishnan is a famous playback singer and music composer in the Malayalam film industry. She lives in Calicut (Kozhikode), Kerala, India. Athira completed her schooling at Providence Girl’s Higher Secondary School, Kozhikode, Kerala. She studied at Devagiri College, Kozhikode, Kerala. Athira has worked at Silver Hills Public School, Kozhikode and Government Vocational Higher Secondary School, Nadkkavu, Calicut as a School Counselor. In 2019, Athira started freelancing as a musician. She got married to Umesh Vallikunnu on the 16th of March, 2021.
Athira has worked on several songs which are available in platforms like Wynk Music, Youtube Music, Apple Music and Jio Saavn, her songs include Ini Oru Ravum, Kaliyodamundaayirunnenkil, Kurisin Sneham, Mazha Mazha Poloru Mozhiyayi and Sathavarshangal. Athira has also been featured in Doordarshan Malayalam. She was among the grand jury in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, which aired on the channel Zee Keralam in 2023. Athira has also worked as a dubbing artist, and made several music covers of popular songs in Malayalam as well as Tamil language.
