Ayyoob Kachery

Ayyoob Kachery is a Kuwait-based Indian tycoon and is the regional managing director of Grand Hyper Regency Group Kuwait. He is from a remote village in Wayanad Dt, Kerala. His Father Mr. Kader Pallikkandy was a small-scale Timber trader and his mother is Mrs. Ayisha Kader. His wife’s name is Mrs. Sabrine Rabehi. His daughter and son’s name is Oumniya Ayyoob and Haitham. He completed B.Sc. Statistics from Calicut University in 1991 and he started his career as a Liason officer in Delhi. He gained experience in dealing with ministries and Diplomatic missions. And, later he joined his father in timber trading and supplied it to many places in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. He met a Kuwaiti and decided to start an import business in Kuwait but it was not successful. He joined Khalid Al Wazzan Contracting & Trading Company and served for 3 years.

As part of his job, he traveled to Europe and Africa for business negotiations. Later he joined Zahab General Trading & Contracting Company as Commercial Manager. Subsequently, he joined hands with Dr.Homoud Al Rqobah, Ex. Minister of Petroleum, Public Works, and MEW Government of Kuwait, as a partner, in a new venture of oil field testing equipment business. In 2009 he had the idea of starting a new business. When Dubai Regency Group, Dr. Anwar Ameen, was contacted, the idea of starting Grand Hyper Supermarket chain stores in Kuwait got initiated.
