Bennet Veetraag

Bennet Veetraag is a popular Indian music composer duo. The two members Bennet a guitarist and songwriter, and Veetraag a singer and musician, pose a unique music flavour and identity to the Malayalam film industry and music. Bennet Veetraag from Kozhikode, Kerala started with the campus film ‘Out of Syllabus’ in 2006 which produced songs like the chartbusters ‘Poi Varuvaan’ and ‘Ee Kalppadavil,’ for their second album. The sequent films of Vysak, Sooryakireedam (2007), Dr. Patient (2009), and Kamal’s widely appreciated Gadhama (2011), carved out their existence in the industry. The pair received the Best Music Director Award at the Thikkurissi Awards for the musical in Gadhama. Not only Bennet writes original film scores, Bennet also performs as the band leader of the contemporary fusion band Bennet and the Band featuring the best singers in India present in the music industry. Bennet Veetraag started his career with the Malayalam film industry with the film Out of Syllabus in 2006 which produced super hit songs like “Poi Varuvaan”, “Ee Kalppadavil”. Hailing from Mysore, their major works are in movies Sooryakireedam (2007), Dr Patient (2009), and arias that made Gadhama (2011) receive Thikkurissi Best Music Director Award with songs such as Naattuvazhiyorathe and Vidhuramee.
