Known as a brilliant survivor, this brave woman has fought cancer. Such is her fighting spirit towards life. Fighting cancer is no joke and this courageous woman has come out of the clutches of brain tumour.  Saranya Sasi hails from Kannur, which is a district in Kerala and it is also known as Cannanore. She is known as one of the best serial actress in Malayalam for her splendid acting talent. Having said that, this talented artist has acted in a lot of serials after her first tele venture and to name a few of her other serials, Manthrakodi aired on Asianet from 2005 to 2006 in the Drama genre, Rehasyam in the year 2010 on Asianet, Kootukari, Harichandanam, Avakashikal  aired on Surya T.V crossed 250 episodes to her credit.

Not only has she earned fame and name with telly serials, she is also acted in a few movies. Her movies include Malayalam and Tamil languages. In Tamil, she has acted in Pachai Engira Kaathu, directed by Keera. Saranya Sasi was an Indian actress who majorly worked in the Malayalam and Tamil film industry and television soap operas. She was born on 15th March 1986 in Kannur, Kerala. She made her acting debut in the Malayalam serial "Suryodayam" (2003), telecasted on Doordarshan. She made her debut in the Kollywood industry by playing the lead role in the movie "PacchaiEngiraKaathu" and Mollywood debut by playing a lead role in "Chacko Randaman" in 2006. She made a name for herself with her work in the award-winning Malayalam television serial "Karuthamuthu" in 2014. Saranya completed her schooling at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kannur, and graduated with a degree in literature from Calicut University.

She was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour in the year 2012. Despite her battle with cancer, she continued acting in serials like " Swathi Bio coming soon... >> Read More... " (Telugu), "Deivam ThandhaVeedu" (Tamil), and "ManasaMaina" (Malayalam), and also contested in Super Jodi in 2018. Saranya battled cancer for more than ten years. During the pandemic, Saranya started her own YouTube channel, "City Lights- Sharanya's Vlog", where she posted videos in Malayalam on recipes and her life. In 2021, she got tested positive for COVID-19. She underwent treatment at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram and recovered. Unfortunately, complications due to COVID-19 aggravated her health. She was admitted to a hospital due to pneumonia and a sudden drop in blood sodium levels. She died on 9th August 2021 due to this.
