She played strong roles in some of her films. Her first film was lauded by the audience. She was paired opposite Jayaram in Nadanpennum Naattupramaaniyum; this movie was not a commercial success. Samyuktha was paired opposite Mohanlal in Fazil’s Life is Beautiful and it was an average hit. She excelled in her role in the film Angane Oru Avanikalatthu. The films Mazha, Madhuranombarakaattu and Swayamvarapanthal were milestones in the Samyuktha's career. In Mazha, Samyuktha gave a convincing performance of a girl facing two different worlds. In Madhuranombarakaattu she had a very sensitive character to perform. The film Thenkasipattinam which was also remade in Tamil, that gained her the recognition that she rightly deserves.
