Reena

Reena is a queen of Malayalam cinema with over 100 movies featuring her. Although she has appeared in few Tamil and Telugu movies, her career notched the top during the late 1970’s with movies –Velicham Akele(1975), Amritavahini (1976), Yudhabhumi (1976), Oonjal (1977). Her Tamil and Hindi works include Varalaru (2006), Rishi Moolam (1980) and Virasat (1997). The actress was born in Mangalore to Peter Reskyuna and Jessy. She also has a brother, Ivan. Reena has done some movies; she started her career at a very young age of 14 years in a Chukku movie as Sheela's daughter. She is presently acting in soap operas, telefilms and Aniyathi serial in Mazhavil Manorama. Her debut movie Chukku(1973) is Malayalam movie directed by KS Sethumadhavan and produced by Mo Joseph.

Although Chukku did not feature her in the lead roles, the actress who has acted in more than 100 movies has her production company with name V.I.C that has churned out Ente Kadha and Druvasankamam. One of her television ventures Dhathuputri, in the Malayalam language revolves around the life of Kanmani, village girl and the only survivor of a landslide.
