and the sister of popular Malayalam actor, Saikumar. Vinu’s younger brother,
, is also a film actor in the Malayalam film industry, who debuted in the film Orkut Oru Ormakut in 2011. Vinu studied at Boys Higher Secondary School in Karunagappally. He got married on May 19, 2013, to Vidya, his co-star in the Malayalam film, Ee Thirakkinidayil.
Ajantha was Vinu’s first movie, but it got delayed. He also acted in Kanne Madanguka in 2005, but it was not the lead role. In 2007, he got his major break as he was cast in the Malayalam romance film, Nivedyam opposite Bhama, in the lead role.
