T. P. Madhavan is a famous Malayalam actor. He is Handsome and a famous actor of his time. He was born in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. His parents are N.P. Pilla and Saraswathi. He has one brother and one sister. His brother is Narayanan and sister is Radhamani V. Madhavan's father is a teacher at Kerala University and, later on, he became the dean of the University. He passed out from Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University as a post-graduate student in sociology. After completing post-graduation in sociology, T.P. Madhavan became a teacher. He was married to Sudha. He has one son and one daughter. The name of the son is Rajakrishna Menon and daughter is Devika. After some interval of times, he got divorced from his wife. Madhavan also applied for Indian Army and selected, but due to a fracture in hand, he withdrew from it. After that, he worked for an English newspaper in Mumbai and opened an ad agency in Bangalore. After few months, he become a journalist and then he joined the Malayalam film industry.

His first movie was Raagam in 1975.He came into movie industry as a Villain, and, later on, he did the role of comedian and then as a character role. He also worked in T V serial. He is a good actor and does his work with all of his efforts. The serials in which he worked are Moon mani, Pattusaree, one manasputri, Mahatma Gandhi colony. When AMMA formed, he was named secretary while M.G. Soman was president. He was in the position for about ten years. He has acted in more than 500 movies. He used to appear in roles as the father, or maternal uncle to the hero and heroine characters or roles such as Police Officers, Company Managers, Ministers and so on.
