He is a Malayalam actor and producer, famous for his comedy and drama roles. He was initially a theater artist, writer, and started Kalidasa Visual Magic to produce plays. Keezhoote Balakrishna Pillai Ganesh Kumar (known as K B Ganesh Kumar) is an actor, TV host and even a politician. He is the son of the veteran politician, R. Balakrishna Pillai. Like his father, the actor too had a long innings in his political career having won three times from his constituency in the election. The actor first made his foray into films during 1985. Earlier in his career as an actor, Pillai played supporting character roles and even had portrayed predominantly villain, anti-social and rowdy characters in the movies. Thampy Antony is an international artist who has been a part of both Hollywood and Mollywood. Thampy is also known by the name Antony Thekkek. He belonged to an Orthodox Christian family and was born with six siblings in Ponkunnam, located in Kerala. One of Thampy’s siblings, Babu Antony, has done more than a hundred movies in multiple languages in the south Indian film industry. After finishing his schooling, he studied civil engineering and pursued architecture as a profession for a few years. Post working as an architect, he worked in the irrigation department in Kerala for a year. He said in an interview that it was an honor to him for being the first Indian to bag this award under the best actor category. The movie was filmed in both America and India. The movie also won two additional awards for the best screenplay and the best feature film at the New York International Film Festival. It was also screened in four theatres of New York City and received wide appreciation. Before acting in the lead role in this flick, he had done a few supporting roles such as the role of Zafar Ali in the movie Arabia that released in the year 1995. This flick had Antony’s brother Babu as the main lead and technically this is Thampy’s debut movie. Antony has done many character roles in several movies such as Janaki (2009), Ivan Megharoopan (2012), Kalimannu (2013), ABCD- American Born Confused Desi (2013) and so on.
