In her opinion, Malayalam cinema is way ahead that every region of Indian cinema when it comes to giving equal space to all characters, especially the female ones.

Jyothika also commented that Tamil cinema needs to work a lot on its priority towards female characters if they want to compete with the rest of the nation, as well as the world. Even Hindi cinema has improved a lot in her eyes, thanks to the popularity of OTT projects.
