Mohan Jose is a renowned Malayalam actor, having worked in over a 100 films in his career. He’s seen in movies like New Delhi (1987), Black (2004) and the recently released Loham (2015). He comes from a filmi family. His father is the famous singer Pappukutty Bhagavathar, and his sister is Selma George, a known playback singer of the 70s. She is married to K.G. George, one of the most celebrated directors of the film industry.

Quitting his job of a government official in Mumbai, Mohan’s first movie outing was in 1980 with Chamaram. All his career he has played numerous character roles. As “Keeri” in Lelam or as Unnunni in his brother-in-law K.G. George’s directorial Irakal, Mohan never ceased to impress the audience. He has worked with almost all of Malayalam cinema’s noted actors and directors. Even to this day, Mohan continues to play unconventional roles.

Mohan Sharma is a prominent Indian film actor, producer, and director. He was born in Thathamangalam in the district of Palakkad in Kerala. He completed his studies in Thathamangalam and Chittur. In a span of ten years, Mohan has been in the examiners’ panel in Anna University. He can speak, read, and write Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and English languages. He has a passion for cooking mainly Palghat Cuisine. Mohan was the first South Indian actor who graduated from FTII (Film and Television Institute of India) in Pune. He has carved his niche as a leading actor in the South Indian film industry. In a career that spans almost four decades, he already acted in more than 100 films in all South Indian languages films. He also produced over 15 Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada films and was the only one to produced films in all South Indian languages. He acted in Malayalam films including Panimudakku, Nellu, Prayanam, Thomasleeha, Muthu, Dada Sahib, Chithariyavar, Kalabham, Gramam, Mayamohini, and a lot more. He also donned few Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada films. His most notable role was in the 1974 Malayalam feature film, Chattakkari, where he acted as Sasi, a Hindu boy, who fell in love with Julie (played by Lakshmi), an Anglo-Indian girl. It was also the time when he fell in love with Lakshmi, whom he got married later on. Unfortunately, their relationship ends with a divorce. Mohan also acted in several television serials such as Kolangal, Lakshmi, Luky, Arasi, Vani Rani, Sakthi, and more. In 2012, he penned, produced, directed, and starred in the Indian bilingual film, Gramam. This film was well received by the audience and critics and also bagged two Kerala State Film Awards and two National Film Awards. Mohan was trained in both Carnatic and Hindustani classical music, and he also rendered playback in some of his films like Bandham and Ivide Thudangunnu. In 2002, he was elected as the President of The South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce and all through his period, he made a remarkable campaign against piracy, as well as to the banking and insurance sectors in the South Indian film industry. In 2000’s, he has served as a member of the National Awards Film Jury and was once a member of the Indian Panorama Jury. He became the President of the Rotary Club of Madras Central from 2004 to 2005 and was luckily selected by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in leading a campaign against AIDS in Asia.
