Rajmohan Unnithan

Rajmohan Unnithan is a Malayalam movie actor and a politician. He has acted in some films. He was born in Kerala and was a part of the movies like Tiger (2005), and Uppukan Brothers (2011). Unlike his successful acting career, his political career did not go well; he got suspended from the party. Born in Kollam, Kerala, Rajmohan came to be known later in his years. He has done graduation in Economics from the S.N College, Kollam, and the University of Kerala. In his college days, he used to be a part of professional as well as amateur plays and theatre. But he did not peruse a career in action later on. In 2005, he was a part of the movie Tiger directed by the vibrant Shaji Kailas. In the film, Rajmohan played the character of a politician and a villain. It got accepted by the critics and did well at the box-office. In 2011, he did acting in the film Uppukan Brothers: Back in Action. It was a sequel to the 1993 movie Uppukan Brothers. It had Babu Anthony and Srikanth in lead roles. Rajmohan played the role of Sraampikkal Sathyaneshan. Uppukan Brothers was a romantic-comedy and did average on the silver screen. He has a vibrant personality, so he tried his hands at politics. He with the support of Indian National Congress (INC) got selected for the legislative assembly for a couple of times. In 2006, he contested against Kodiyeri Balakrishnan from Thalassery Assembly constituency but was unsuccessful. However, after much struggle in 2015, he became the general secretary of KPCC (Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee). He had to resign from the post for charges of immoral trafficking in Malappuram under suspicious circumstances with a woman. He also had tensions between K. Muraleedharan the Electricity Minister. Rajmohan faced a lot of ups and downs in his political career, but today he is the Academy Secretary of Kerala State Film Development Corporation (KSFDC). He has a son named Akhil Unnithan who got married to Lakshmi M in Trivandrum in 2015. The ceremony was attended by Sashi Tharoor, actors like Mammootty, Suresh Gopi, and singer M G Sreekumar.
