Gopikrishnan is an eminent Indian journalist who rose to fame with his coverage of the 2G scam in 2008. He has a PG diploma in journalism from the Institute of Journalism, Press Club, Thiruvananthapuram. Gopikrishnan started his career in 1994 as a sub-broker on the Kerala Stock Exchange. In 1995, he switched careers and joined Doordarshan as a stringer for its Thiruvananthapuram station. Gopikrishnan worked with many media organizations in Kerala and was a columnist for several Malayalam newspapers.
In 2009, Gopikrishnan moved to Delhi to join The Pioneer newspaper. Gopikrishnan has also been actively involved in the anti-corruption movements in India since 2010. He works with Prashant Bhushan and Subramanium Swamy to fight legal battles against major corruption cases.
