Sajith Jagadnandan is an Indian film director who has predominantly worked in Malayalam film industry. He was born on 25 May 1981 in Trivandrum, Kerala, India. He completed his studies from Kerala. He got married to Anjali Menon. As a kid, he used to watch movies a lot and had a keen interest in Malayalam movies. He used to do plays and dramas at his school. When he was a kid, he used to take part in dramas held at the locality and used to conduct them too.

He has also written various plays and short stories, which were published in school magazines and local magazines too. After completing his education, he decided to complete his graduation from Viswabharaty, Trivandrum, Kerala. While he was in college, he made direction his passion and decided to start his career in Indian film Industry.

While he was pursuing his passion, he worked as a freelancer and directed various short films. He, along with his team used to take part in various short film competitions and has won various awards too. He always admired Ranjith, famous Malayalam director and a screenplay writer well-known for his work in “ Ravanaprabhu.” Sajith Jagadnandan has also written various stories and directed them as well. Sajith Jagadnandan’s work came into recognition and was offered many jobs.

After completing his college, he directed various short films and also directed some commercials as a freelancer. He made a great step towards success when he was appointed as an assistant director in 2007 in the movie “Ali Bhai.” This movie was directed by Haji Kailas, starring Mohanlal, Gopika, and Siddique. After that, he worked as an assistant director in the movie “Puthiya Mukham,” directed by Diphan, starring Prithviraj, Priyamani, Bala, and Meera Nandan. He also worked with Mahesh P. Sreenivasan as an assistant director in his movie “My Big Father.”

The movie was released in 2009, starring Ajay Kumar, Jayaram, and Kanika, produced by P.A. Sebastian. After working as an assistant director, Sajith Jagadnandan finally made his debut as a director in the movie “ Ore Mukham.” It was a Malayalam-mystery film released in 2016. The movie was produced by Jayalal Menon and Anil Biswas, starring Dhyan Sreenivasan, Prayaga Martin, Aju Varghese, Deepak Parambol, and Gayathri Suresh. The movie was appreciated by many other famous Malayalam directors.

He made his debut as a director in the year 2013 with the movie Crocodile Love Story. Anoop starred in the Malayalam language movie called Y. A thriller genre story, the film is based on unexpected and unusual happenings on a street which catch everyone’s attention and how all the characters present to respond and react to those events. Himalayathile Kashmalan was the life of a group of friends in which one friend gets stuck in a situation so all the others try to help him out and later the entire village gets involved. Vanyam released in 2016 and was the first movie Anoop Ramesh’s acted in. It was a narrative that talked about three young protagonists who plan and execute a heinous deed and how they deal with the aftermath of their crime. It was an underrated movie but loved by a lot of audiences. It created the right amount of grossness that it wished to and stayed with the people much after leaving the theatres.
