Several Malayalam films deal with societal issues. The movie 'Puzha Polaval,' directed by debutant Prasad G Edward, is a visual pleasure. The film addresses a socially relevant issue. Annie is the central character of the movie and, she is the only dedicated teacher at the school. Within an Adivasi’s Forest range community, the school is located. Annie traveled 40 kilometers every day, by bus, jeep, and often on foot. She takes the bus from school to home. For her, education is more significant than a career. Annie considers teaching as social work.

Gopika Suresh, a young girl from Thiruvananthapuram, brings Annie to life. Her remarkable performance impressed the team in the climax. Sruthuraj, a newbie, portrays Annie's friend Shoba and then Vincent Bose Mathew's company, "Bose Entertainers," produced the film.

Several East Coast theater events were organized by Prasad G Edward, who worked as a director of short films, albums, and documentaries. “Puzha Polaval” was shot in the wild animal habitats. The shooting locations include Kottor Pothodu, Mannamkodu, and Kanithadam.

“Puzha Polaval” was completed with the help of local inhabitants and the forest department. Master Hamin Hafis, a child artist, played a pivotal role in 'Puzha Polaval.' He has appeared in several movies and albums. In each project, the audience and critics applauded his directing abilities.
