Rahul Vellal

Rahul R. Vellal is an Indian singer and musician who hails from Bengaluru. He was born on 23rd June 2007.  At age 4, he began studying Carnatic music. He is well-known for his performances at multiple venues around India and other nations, as well as for his awards from numerous music competitions. Under the tutelage of renowned artists Vidushi's Ranjani & Gayatri, he is studying Carnatic vocal music.

Vidushi Kalavathy Avadhoot had previously taught him Carnatic vocal music. Vidwan Kulur U Jayachandra Rao has been teaching him how to play the mridangam. Currently, he is also receiving instruction on Western Piano from Sri Abhishek N at the Trinity School of Music in London. He has given Carnatic music concerts outside of India in the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Nigeria, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and South Africa. On January 12, 2018, Rahul performed his first-ever concert of Carnatic music outside of India in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Rahul sang vocals for the Disney animated film ‘The Lion King’ (Telugu Edition), which debuted on July 20, 2019. He has performed a few songs for Simba the Cub. He also played for Disney's upcoming online series about Jagadguru Sri Shankaracharya. He has been named one of the ‘Top 100 Global Child Prodigies of the World’ by the GCP Awards Group in addition to winning the ‘Global Child Prodigy Awards 2020’ in the "Singing" Category. He also has several awards and achievements in his name.
