Shatavadhani Ganesh is an Indian poet who worked for the Kannada film industry. He was born on 4th December 1962 in Kolar, Karnataka. Ganesh is a multi-talented polyglot and an author in Sanskrit and Kannada who performed more than 1300 avadhanas in Kannada, Sanskrit, Telugu, and Prakrit. He also holds a record for composing poetry for about twenty-four hours continuously and performed Shatavadhana in entire Karnataka from November 30th, 2012 to 2nd December 2012. Ganesh learned about 7 languages including Prakrit, Pali, Tamil, Hindi, Marathi, Greek, Latin, Italian, and many others, and started writing the poet when he was only sixteen.
Hampi University awarded him for his work on the thesis on the Art of Avadhana in Kannada. Ganesh was served by many awards some of them includes RajyotsavaPrashasti by the Government of Karnataka in 1992, Rashtriya Yuva Pratibha Purushkar, Erya Award for 2012, Chit-prabhananda Award, and many other national awards. Some of his popular literary works include Bharateeya Kshaatra, Parampare, Human Values in Telugu Literature, Human Values in Manusmriti, Human Values in Ramayana, Kavitegondu Kathe, and many others. He also started lectures on poetry composition, prosody, and poetics on the website of Padyapaana organizations.
