Avinash is a Kannada actor, who has starred in South Indian language films and notably in the Kannada, Telugu and Tamil film industries. Avinash completed Master of Arts in Literature from the Mysore University and began his Career as a lecturer of English. In the beginning of his career, he was very active in the English theater circuit in Bangalore. He was following theater during his college days and he got into films. Avinash has acted in more than 200 movies in his career. Avinash married lawyer turned actress Malavika, who was his co-star in the soap opera Mayamriga.
 
Avinash made his debut in the movie ‘Thrishoola’. Unfortunately, the movie was not released due to reasons. He was introduced to the Kannada film industry through another movie “Samyuktha”. His first notable role was as saint Madhvacharya in the movie Madhavacharya by G.V.Iyer. Some of the famous films in which he acted are Chinnari Mutha, Nishkarsha, Mathadaana, lockup death, Appu, Dweepa, Chigurida Kanasu, Apthamitra, Chandramukhi, and Amrithadhare. For over a period of years, Avinash with his exceptional acting steadily built a place for himself in the film industry. Avinash is much sought after supporting actor in the Kannada film industry.
 
He won many awards. Some awards are Karnataka State Award for Best Supporting Actor for Mathadaana, Suvarna Film awards for Best Performance in a negative role for Prithvi. SICA (South India Cinematographers Association) Award for best supporting actor for Singarava, Film fare Award for best supporting actor for Aptharakshaka. Avinash is a keen cricket enthusiast himself. He also actively takes parts in actor Vishnuvardhan's Snehaloka Cricket Team (SCT).

Avinash B. S. is a motion picture actor from India. He acts in Kannada films predominantly. Avinash was an entrepreneur by profession initially. But his love and passion for acting made him divert his energies in a different path. He has been looking forward to getting into films since a long time, but his business kept him from doing so. It has always been Avinash B. S.’s dream to get into the cinema industry. However, he was very busy with his former work. However, Avinash did not give up and kept looking for a path. Very soon, he got the chance to meet the renowned film artist ChiranjeeviSarja, who is a Kannada motion picture actor as well. Avinash B. S.’s friend who was in the gym with him was a friend of the handsome and dashing actor Chiranjeevi Sarja. The artist helped him a lot and introduced Avinash to the people who would help him further. This way, he got connected to an Individual named Panaga Bharana. He became a friend of Avinash and took it as a responsibility to train him in this field. He spent his time henceforth on acting classes and workshops. Confidence is a thing which is essential for becoming an actor. Thus, he also took classes and training for building his confidence.

Avinash B S joined the cinematic industry when he was not very young.

However, he was welcomed into the cinema with open arms. Talent is what matters. He plays a negative part in the motion picture Allama. He says that he is very different from how he gets featured on the big screen. He finds the role of the villain very challenging and intellectual. His character in Allama believes that bodily strength is greater than the power of the brain. However, in reality, his thoughts are nowhere near this character’s thoughts.

Avinash Yelandur was born on 22nd December 1959 in the Yelandur town of Mysore, Karnataka. His parents were Indira and B.K. Narayana Rao Story Soon >> Read More... , who was a lawyer. He completed his studies at Hardwicke High School in Mysore, and graduated with a master’s degree in English literature from the University of Mysore. Avinash began his career as an English teacher at the National Institute of Engineering in Mysore and this continued to the Mysore Education Society (MES) College, Bangalore. He married actress and Television personality Malavika in 2001. This union blessed them with a son. Avinash was deeply fond of dramas and films even from a young age and actively participated in plays in the theatres in Mysore and later in Bangalore.

This led him to leave his job as a lecturer and pursue a new career in theatre. He trained at the Mermaid Theatre in London, and upon his return to his motherland, Avinash landed a job in the esteemed troupe of B. Jayashree’s “Spandana.” ‘Madhvacharya,’ a 1986 film by G.V. Iyer, marked the debut of the aspiring actor in which he played the role of young Madhvacharya. The film won several national and state awards such as the National Film Award for Best Music Director (1987), and the National Film Award for Best Production Design (1987), Avinash then went on to star in one of the most critically acclaimed films of K.N. Chandrashekar Sharma, ‘Samyuktha.’

This movie introduced Avinash to a new audience who loved the actor ushering him to mainstream cinema. Some of his notable works are: ‘Chinnari Muththa (1993), ‘Mathadana’ (2001), Dweepa (2002),’ and ‘Chiguridha Kanasu’ (2003). Being active in the film industry, Avinash has appeared in more than four hundred films working with over two hundred directors in a career spanning over three decades, making him one of the most sought-after actors in South Indian cinema.
