Karthik Saragur is an Indian film Director, Screenwriter, and Lyricist. Karthik was born in the Mysore district of Karnataka, India. Karthik Saragur graduated from Sri Ramakrishna Vidyashala, Mysore. Karthik Saragur started his career by making docudramas like Vivekananda. Karthik received critical acclaim for a documentary series titled Bengaluru: Idu Namma Ooru. In 2007 Karthik worked for a Bollywood Film, Dor, for which Karthik received a Best Costume Design Award nomination at the 52nd Filmfare Awards, and Best Lyrics Award, also Best Children’s Film at Karnataka State Film Awards.
Karthik also directed movies like Jeerjimbe in 2018 and Bheema Sena Nala Maharaja (2020), which was released online as part of Amazon Prime Video’s Great Indian Festival. The movie directed by Karthik, titled Jeerjimbe, won Four Karnataka State Film Awards in 2016. Karthik was nominated for The Best Director Award for the movie Jeerjimbe at the 66th Filmfare Awards South 2019.
