Guna Singh was a music composer who predominantly worked in the Kannada Movie Industry. He was known for his famous films like Nishkarsha (1993), Padayatra (1982), and Aavesham (1979) and his songs like Nila Nila Oodiva, Solai Kuyil Paaduthey, Avaramey Devaramey. His debut song was Cheppum Panthum from the movie Theekadal in the year 1980. Later he scored music for Ruthungana, Sanchari, Sakidha Sarpa, Beladingala Baale, Tarka, Utkarsha, Nisharkarsha, and others. He had a wife, two daughters, and three sons. He excelled in Telugu, Tamil, Oriya, Malayalam, and other languages. He also set a prestigious Guinness Book of World Records for background music for more than 1000 films in various South Indian languages. He was also known for playing flute instruments in his three decades in cinema.
