S.K. Rao is an Indian cinematographer who predominantly works in the Kannada film and television industry. He was born on June 26, 1987, and is from Jayanagar, Bangalore. He went to St. Antony's high school in 1995 and completed his graduation in bachelor of commerce at MES College, Bangalore, in 2002. Then he went to the college of fine arts (Chitrakala Parishat) in 2010.
He worked as a cinematographer at Noorondu Nenapu in 2006 and Attempted Murder (ATM) in 2017. He is married to Raji Kala from Chennai.
