Kishan Shrikanth is a well-known film maker who is the world's youngest film director and actor. He was recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the ‘Youngest film maker of a full-length professional feature film.'
He was born on January 6th in the year 1996 in the city of Bangalore in Karnataka. He was born to parents Shrikanth HR and mother Shylaja Shrikanth. He completed his secondary education till 10th grade from Camlin English School with excellent results individually and-and the overall percentage of 93.
Due to his prodigious performance, he wrote to the Government of Karnataka to granted permission to attend college to obtain a Master’s degree directly after 10th. After passing all the necessary tests which proved he was eligible enough, he joined for a Master of Arts program in Multimedia and Animation.
He is the youngest person to have obtained a Master's degree. As a young boy, Kishan was always interested writing short stories and filmmaking. As a young boy, he wrote a short story based on one of his childhood encounters with some underprivileged children.
He wrote and later adapted it into a full-length feature film named ‘℅ Footpath.' The film ‘Care of Footpath’ features Bollywood actors like
, B. Jayashree, etc., and himself in the lead role. The movie hit screens in the year 2006, on November 26th in Karnataka and had run for as long as 100 days.
The film was also dubbed in 5 mainstream languages in India. In his career which has been filled with fame and recognition and such a young age, he has appeared in over 300 episodes of television serials and has also made appearances in over 24 films.
Some of his well-known works are ‘Grama Devathe’ in the year 2001 and ‘Ee Preethi Yeke Bhumi Melide’ in the year 2007, etc. He has received a line of awards for his noted works such as the Best Children's Film award for his film ‘℅ Footpath’ at the 54th National Film Award.
