After completing his college education, he worked as a financial analyst in Capgemini, Bengaluru, for two years, but quit the corporate job to become a filmmaker in the Sandalwood film industry. Abhilash Shetty made his directorial debut with some short films like Crony, and Vinashi, which received a massive response from the audience. Later, for his 2019 short film 2 Missed Calls, Abhilash Shetty wrote the script and directed the film. Apart from being a director and a screenwriter, he is also an aspiring actor and has played the lead roles in his films. On the personal front, Abhilash Shetty lives in Bengaluru, Karnataka, to pursue his film career.
