Toby Lawrence Whithouse is an English actor, screenwriter and, playwright. He was born on 5th July 1970 in the United Kingdom. He is famous for writing several episodes of BBC’s Doctor who. He also appeared in one episode of Doctor Who as a German Soldier. Apart from that, he is famous for creating several other series such as; Being human, channel 4s, No Angels, and the game. He appeared regularly in the show ‘The house of Eliott.’ Whitehouse attended the Art College in Benfleet to pursue a career as a book illustrator but decided to pursue acting from Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Often, When Toby was sent the script, he did not like it. With that thought in mind, he started writing scripts in his free time. Eventually, He wrote the play named ‘Jump Mr. Malinoff, jump, which won him, verity Bargate award. Due to this, he also got his first writing credit by scripting the episode of the drama series ‘where the heart is’.

He was also associated with the production company World productions, for whom he worked in BBC’s Attachments. Whithouse also appeared on 2001’s Bridget Jones diary, Hotel Babylon in 2006, last episode of No Angels and played a secretary in Being human in 2013. Whitehouse also happens to be a big comics fan and a stand-up comedian. He collaborated with the comic artist Alan Davis for Marvel 1000, celebrating the company’s history. Also, he was the finalist as a stand-up comedian in ‘So you think you’re funny?’. His famous television writings, Where the heart is, Attachments, No angels, Hotel Babylon, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Other people, Being human, etc.
