Jeremy Clarkson

Jeremy Charles Robert Clarkson was born on 11 April 1960 in Yorkshire, England. He is an English journalist, broadcaster, television presenter, and writer specializing in motoring. He attended Repton School but never paid enough attention in the classes. Clarkson has been hosting the ITV game show ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?’ since 2018, taking over from Chris Tarrant. Since the 1990s, he has been a regular face on television, appearing either as a presenter for BBC or as a guest invited on other shows. Along with motoring, he has hosted programs and has written pieces on topics of history and engineering. He presented the inaugural season of Robot Wars in 1998, as well as his talk show from 1998 to 2000. In 2015, there was an attack on a 'Top Gear' producer during the filming of the show, after which, BBC did not renew Clarkson’s contract with the company. W. Chump & Sons, a production company was created by Clarkson and 'Top Gear' co-presenter and producer Andy Wilman later in that year to produce the 'The Grand Tour' for Amazon Prime Video.

His outspoken and humorous presentation and writing style have gotten him a lot of attention from the public. Presenter of 'Top Gear' and his private life affairs has often gathered condemnation from the media, politicians, pressure organizations, and the general public. He is blessed with a big fan following which has also been publicly recognized as one of the main reasons for the revival of Top Gear as one of the most successful television shows. Clarkson secured 49th rank on the Motor Trend Magazine Power List, 2011 being one of the fifty most prominent figures in the automotive industry.
