Originally named Jeffrey Alan Maurer, Jeffrey Scott is a May-born Hollywood animation screenwriter (May 07, 1952). He was from a family of writers and married a screenwriter Sonya Scott. He is a BA graduate in Motion Pictures & Television from the University of California, Los Angeles. Scott is one of the best animation writers who won three Emmy awards and the Humanitas Prize. To boost and help animators, he has written How to write for animation book and is known for his creation Muppet Babies. In 2016, Jeff filed a petition for his ownership of Muppet babies against Disney.
